PARISH NEWS FOR CHRISTMAS

PARISH CONFESSIONS

On Tuesday, December 12th beginning at 7pm we will have an evening for parish confessions. Six priests will be available that evening for the Sacrament. An Examination of Conscience is available in the bulletin section on the parish website (See the Second Sunday of Advent – December 9/10)

Confessions will also be available from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, December 23rd.

 REMEMBRANCE POINSETTIAS

Christmas is one of the hardest times for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.  If you feel strongly the absence of a loved one, we invite you to bring in a poinsettia.  They can be left in the foyer of the church by December 21st.

JESSE TREE

The Jesse Tree is in the foyer with many opportunities to help the needy this Christmas.  Just drop by the tree, take one of the tags and return the gift at your earliest convenience under the tree or in the box for gift cards.

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

We invite the you to create the decorations for the parish Christmas tree. The tree will be up by the pulpit and once again if parishioners especially children could hand make the decorations that would be greatly appreciated.  The tree will be up by December 16th for you to put the decorations on.

MARK THE DATE FOR THE PARISH SKATING PARTY

Saturday, December 30th, from 6-8pm at the Aurora Family Leisure Complex on Industrial Parkway North.  Following skating come back to the church for hot dogs and hot chocolate.  Skate time and refreshments are free!

OUR CHURCH, OUR FUTURE CAMPAIGN

Our capital campaign continues to move forward.  We now have a total of $564,730  in pledges, from 147 households.  We thank everyone who has responded to the campaign at this point.  As we move through the winter months we set our goal on reaching a combined total of funds on deposit and funds pledged of 3 million.  One final goal of course is 5 million to meet the challenge of renovating our church.

If you have misplaced your package, they are available at the back after masses, in the office during the week and by mail on request.
