Welcome to Cardinal Carter Catholic High School                 Upcoming Events:  We are please to inform our Cardinal Carter Catholic High School community that we are well underway in our International Baccalaureate accreditation process.  Our grade 9 and 10 academic foundations classes will begin in September as preparation for the full IB Diploma Programme which will begin in Fall 2011. We are currently an I.B. Candidate school and as such we have completed extensive teacher training and curriculum development.  A team of I.B. representatives will be visiting Cardinal Carter CHS this fall as the final part of our IB accreditation process.  To support our students, staff and parents in their understanding of the IB learning and more specifically, International Mindedness with respect to education, we have invited members of the CASIE organization to meet with members of our school community in Sept.  CASIE is the Centre for the Advancement and Study of International Education. There will be more information regarding the CASIE visit in our Sept. Newsletter. Cardinal Carter CHS is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Our school is pursuing authorization as an IB World school. These are schools that share a common philosophy - a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Cardinal Carter CHS believes is important for our students. Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) as IB World Schools can offer any of its three Academic Programmes: The Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme.
