Course Change Requests Update

In preparation for the start of the school year, we would like to provide you with instructions on how to request a student course change, if required and if your request meets the course change criteria.  You are a perfect candidate for a course change if your fall under one or more of the following criteria:

– Meeting Ontario Secondary School Diploma Requirements (ie. missing a group 1, 2, or 3 credit)

– Meeting a post-secondary requirement

– Failure of a prerequisite course

– Eligible course type changes (i.e academic to applied or university to college)

– Missing a course to stay on track to graduate

– Balancing your timetable

Please note that we may not be able to accommodate all requests for course changes due to cancelled courses, courses being at capacity, courses not fitting into your timetable and the “cohorting” process.

If you would like to make a course change request, please visit our school website click on the “Students” tab.  You will see a drop down menu with a link titled, “Course Changes / Transcripts”.  Click on this link and submit your request.  Each submission will be received automatically and will then be processed by our Guidance teachers.

At this time, students are unable to view or access student timetables.  To view your course selections, please log into myBlueprint at and follow the instructions attached to this email.  We have also attached a list of Graduation Requirements to inform your decision regarding course change requests.  Please note that the courses listed in myBlueprint reflect the courses that you selected in February and it does not reflect the changes that were made during course verifications in April or summer school changes.

Please note that the “Course Changes” link may have to be inactivated  when we undertake the process of forming cohort groups next week.  We will also continue to provide you with information on how to access your student timetable once this option becomes available.

Summer School Credits; YCDSB and YRDSB summer school credits have been processed.  Students who took credits with other boards or private school credits must make arrangements with other school boards or private schools to forward their report cards to
