Guidelines for Student Participation
Being part of a school team or co-curricular activity is a privilege, not a right. Every student must demonstrate to the teacher/advisor that he/she deserves to participate in an activity.
The following guidelines must be observed:
- The regular school program is your first priority. Schoolwork must not suffer.
- All school regulations are to be adhered to, including attendance and punctuality for all classes.
- Any student who is not well enough to attend all classes on a particular day may not participate in teams or activities after classes on the same day.
- School equipment is expensive and must be treated with care and respect and returned when requested.
- Teachers are giving their time to run an activity, whether at Cardinal Carter CHS or another school, or in transit. Therefore, your behaviour must be beyond question. Courtesy and fair team play is expected at all times.
