YCDSB’s 5th Annual University of Waterloo Math Contest at Carter

Today, we hosted our 5th annual YCDSB Team Math Competition. Nearly 100 students participated in this event, representing 9 different schools across our school board. Carter’s Raso and Buentipo Advance to Provincial Skills Competition

On Saturday April 6th students from 6 surrounding school boards competed at Humber College in 4 different regional skills competitions: Culinary, TV/Video, Carpentry and Welding.

Congratulations to Cardinal Carter grade 12 students Jillian Buentipo and Megan Raso who placed 2nd in the TV/Video category. They will advance to the provincial level on Tuesday May 7th. Ms. Dametto & Grade 10 Students Explore Careers in Science Through Virtual Reality

On Friday, April 5th, Grade 10 Science students participated in a Science Careers Inquiry lesson using Virtual Reality in the Library Learning Commons. The students used Google Expeditions to explore seven different careers in various science fields before completing their own science career inquiry on myBlueprint.
