On Monday, May 27, Grade 11 IB students traveled to York University to live a day in the life of a scientist.
Students participated in a range of interdisciplinary medical science focused activities, including an epidemiology study where they identified patient zero, diagnosing a patient’s blood disorder, learned and practiced suturing skills and cultured penicillin.
Students left engaged and motivated to further their interest in the sciences. We look forward to hearing about how experiential learning opportunities like these are helping our students navigate their own personal pathways.
